HONEYCOMB

The more i looked into the theme 'Entomonology' the more i liked the idea of creating something raw and natural. I liked the futuristic look derived from metallic cocoons and shiny black beetles however there was something more appealing to me about the natural, organic look of webs and the subdued hues and warm colouring of honeycombs.
I decided this would be the direction i would take with my dress and began developing patterns, silhouettes, and design ideas based on the concept.

Sketchbook development

I started my sketchbook with research into Anh Mao, so I had the best idea how to focus my inspirations to suit the style of her label and her client.

I went on to looking into trends and colours, as a starting point i havn't decided which i think will suit the theme the best as it is a broad area and there are lot's of colours to consider. As i narrow down my research to areas that interest me the most a colour pallet should become natural.
